The player hitting a slice backhand approach shot down the line or cross court and finishing at the net with a forehand volley or backhand volley. As the player moves in after the approach shot, he tries to position himself close to the net strap to finish the point. The same drill can be done on the forehand side. This is a pattern and must be done over and over to gain confidence for match play.
