Dunlop Biomimetic 400 Tour
Taking the traditional tweener to new heights, the Dunlop Biomimetic 400 Tour is designed with blending control and power for long-swinging baseline players in mind. In addition to the original Biomimietic technologies and HM6 Carbon construction and Aeroskin styling, the 400 line takes advantage of three new features. The traditional 100 square inch head size is complimented by an open 16×19 string pattern allowing for each spin generation while the moderate 11.5 ounce strung weight provides a good amount of stability. Utilizing a new Anatomic Construction to minimize torsional deflection, in turn enhancing precision and accuracy on off-center hits by resisting twisting. The beam shape of the Biomimetic 400 Tour’s head has also been altered, called CX technology, mimicking the aerodynamic shape of a wing to reduce drag for even greater racquet speed. Another unique innovation, the Anti-Friction Grommets, inspired by a sandfish skink, rest the string on a near frictionless polymer material, allowing a more dynamic string bed response for greater comfort and power. Our testers found this frame to play best from the baseline, providing a stable and comfortable response with excellent spin and depth. With slightly less power compared to the Biomimetic 500 Tour, we felt that this model was well suited to all around players as well, with enough heft for players not to get pushed around at the net.
