The lob is the most offensive weapon when used correctly; generally the pros use the lob with a variety of spins and in many defensive situations. An example would be when your out of position and desperate for recovery. in a match against your opponents this shot is played because they usually don’t want to travel to the net, because their comfort zone is the baseline. An example for instance is lobbing to your opponents weak overhead. experienced players use the lob to attack and keep their opponents off the net. the art of deception is why good players lure there opponents in, leading them believe they are going to try a passing shot, then disaster strikes. !
