Scott Nichols – On The Other Hand Newsletter – Vol 7 – October 2012

During the last quarter of the year, most of the circuit pros are preparing for the new year and the Australian Open. It has been a very long year for those of the pros that competed in all the major tournaments, including Grand Slams.

Teaching pros at clubs are also preparing for the new year, since holiday time, shortened day’s etc. create a ‘slow time,’ and provide a little break throughout most of the country.

What about all of you tennis player’s, what are you thinking about? What is your plan for the new year, what are your goals?

Do you have a tournament or league schedule? Do you have an ‘off’ court exercise regiment?

This is the time when you get with your coach, parent, doubles partner etc. and discuss what the future has in store for us all. The younger junior is hoping for maybe a tennis ranking or making the high school tennis team. The adult is pondering their amateur rating or also a USTA ranking. The high school jr/senior is hoping to play tennis at college, they are setting up appointments and dialog with college tennis coaches?

For those of you needing a second or 3rd tennis racquet, which is highly suggested for serious play, the month of October at my club I am providing a 40% discount on Babolat and Head tennis racquets. Just call or email me your needs and I will ship for free.

Don’t put off until tomorrow with what you can do today, right now! I continue to aid students in person or by email with their future on and off court needs, please contact me if you need any advice. The tennis industry is a wealth of information and networking which can benefit all of you.
