Forgotten Baby Syndrome

Forgotten baby syndrome (FBS) is a pseudo-medical term for the danger of adult caregivers forgetting about the presence of a child and consequently subjecting the child to danger. In spite of the word “syndrome” this is not a recognized medical condition; however the term has achieved some currency innewspapers, magazines, blogs, and otherpopular media.
