A fresh face in the racquet industry, Asics has rolled out three innovative new frames. The Asics 109 is the same width as a 100 sq. in. racquet, but the elongated shape of the racquet head allows for lengthened main strings. This creates a fan pattern that greatly increases spin and power potential. At 9.8 ounces unstrung, this is a game-improvement frame that’s sturdy, but easy to swing. In addition to propelling the ball with pace and spin, you’ll also enjoy an extra .25″ in length with this model. Because if its unique head shape, Asics recommends the main strings of the 109 be strung from the mid point to the low end of the recommended tension. The cross strings should be strung at 5 lbs. less than the main strings.
