Peak performance for the average player. The weekend warrior is the athletic individual who remembers his younger years in the sport. The years, he or she, could do anything with the body and the pain of the following day went away. I hate to tell you this, but if there is pain from the way you swing at the ball…don’t do it! The injuries today can be like a toothache and be a real serious problem later on. I would hope the champions of court today understand that if the pain does persist, see a doctor of medicine or the pro at the club. The stroke production of the player may be causing the problem. If this is the case, and if you have not injured yourself seriously, changes in the technique could help. If damage is done, then see a professional and avoid the long term spectator blues.
