Contact Point for the Continental Grip

The contact point for the continental grip is just off the right foot. The base knuckle is on panel 2 with heal of hand on panel 1, The wrist must be firm and stronger for this hand position on the racquet. This grip is great for slice and ok for topspin and does not accommodate high balls as well. The good one handed backhand players use an eastern or semi western position with the knuckle on top and heal further around.
