Volkl Organix 6
For players wanting a lightweight blend of power and control, the new Volkl Organix 6 offers incredible comfort thanks to the research of the renowned Fraunhofer Institute. With a 100 sq. in. headsize and 9.7 ounce unstrung weight, this racquet offers excellent maneuverability and control without sacrificing feel or power. Further enhancing the forgiveness and playability is the newest advancement from Volkl, the Organix material. This material essentially coats natural cellulose in the DNX carbon nanotubes, which offers the same strength and flexibility of the predecessor, but adds greater vibration dampening. Along with the rest of the line, theOrganix 6 includes the unique visual design known as the Optispot system. The idea behind the system is that the eye is naturally drawn to contrasting colors much more so than designs using only one color. Volkl takes advantage of this by applying contrasting colors to the sides, as well as the top and bottom of the head, in order to help players focusing on making contact in the center of the stringbed. Some classic Volkl fans will be saddened to see that the Sensor handle system has been replaced for the Organix line, but fear not, as the replacement offers 15% more vibration dampening compared to the Sensor Tour handle. The main difference in the new Bio Sensor handle is a weight pin that is placed in the end of the handle, which moves freely to apply a counter vibration against the incoming shock. This counter wave effectively decreases the amplitude and strength, similar to the mass dampener pendulum design that protects skyscrapers from earthquakes. The Organix 6 offers tweener performance with a lighter weight for greater maneuverability. Designed for players with medium to longer length strokes, this racquet will play best in the hands of all courters looking to take avantage of its agility at net.
