The open stance, why should I hit an open stance forehand?
This forehand is struck where the balance and feet are facing the net, if I’m a right-handed player, my weight is on my right leg and I load on that leg, this position allows me to then rotate my shoulders from that position and then finish the shot. this position allows me to recover quickly and should be used for smaller distances 2 meters at the most, away from the ball. The body weight finishes on the same leg. This would be your right leg. The open stance is use with a good turn and rotation of the shoulders.
