What is the best strategy for a coach if he sees parents put undue pressure on the player?
If we see a situation where the parents are putting undue pressure on the child the best thing is for the coach to set up a conference with the parents to discuss the situation. Also, if the parents see a situation where it appears that the coaches are putting undue pressure and the child, then we like the parents should contact the coaches and set up a meeting. this plan allows both parties, which are part of the team of development to get on the same page. The goal is development, not disfunction.
