How do I lob off a serve?
The lob return can be difficult if the service is fast, but if it is a second server which is the common one most recreational players use, then the lob is not so difficult. there are two methods one is a punch lob where you open the face the racket and punch it to the sky like a volley, and second is the conventional lob with maybe a half swing with the finish high and with the angle of the racket face open. The challenge here is to monitor the level of power you impart on the tennis ball. You can apply too much power and it will travel out, too little power and the net player is happy.
